There is a notion that men don’t need to be on top of their hormone levels… but that’s wrong. As a 35-year-old dad, my hormone levels have directly impacted my health but also the happiness of my family. I value spending time with them and staying active, but as I get older, this becomes harder. Days feel longer and my energy is lacking. It wasn’t until recently that I started focusing on my hormone health to combat this.
As men get older, lower testosterone levels are common. This can affect overall energy, strength, drive, and more. I know it’s important to address this, but I’m so tired of hearing TRT is the only option to remedy this. Sure, it can increase energy, but it can have side effects. Also, though my testosterone levels were low, they were never low enough for my doctors to feel confident in prescribing TRT to me.
I’ve tried multiple supplements, so when I was on the hunt for a new solution to increase my energy, I was a little skeptical when I came across Elevated by AstroFlav. I had tried taking Ashwagandha and Diindolylmethane (DIM), but they did not seem to work. The supplements I’ve tried in the past were effective for general health, but I have not been able to find a supplement to increase my testosterone levels.
Elevated is a testosterone booster that is supposed to increase your strength and power, enhance muscle mass and strength, and support healthy male performance, which at the root comes back to having more energy. These all sound good, but I was doubtful that this supplement could actually fulfill all those things. A man can dream. But, honestly, I felt like I was all out of options.
I’m only getting older and my kids are growing, I want to be able to have the energy to keep up with them. I want to be able to go about my day without feeling lethargic and drained. When I saw Elevated’s price of $64.95 with a 30-day money-back guarantee, I felt this was rather reasonable, comparing it to TRT which can be as much as $3,200 per year. So, maybe I’m stubborn, but I bought Elevated to see what the hype was all about and prove that they were wrong. In reality, it just proved me wrong.
First Impressions
My hesitation with a lot of supplements are the hidden ingredients the brands aren’t transparent about the quality. I’m very mindful about what I put in my body, so I was worried about Elevated’s ingredients. However, with transparency right on the bottle, I was made aware of what I was consuming.
Before buying the product, I looked at the ingredients. The three main ingredients are: Tongkat Ali, KSM-66, Fadogia Agrestis. Maybe I’m the quintessential dad in his mid-30s, but I’m an avid Joe Rogan podcast listener. He has talked about these ingredients multiple times and the benefits they provide for men’s health, so I was intrigued. Especially because I have tried testosterone boosters in the past that contained the ingredient fenugreek, which just led to terrible headaches as a side effect. I was happy Elevated’s ingredients were healthy and natural.
Tongkat Ali is a natural plant extract that can boost testosterone levels, which typically manifests in increased strength and power. KSM-66 enhances muscle mass and strength and decreases body fat with resistance training. This fits into my lifestyle because my daily workout routine involves resistance exercises, such as bench presses and squats. Both of these lead to these results due to increased energy, aka my main goal. Fadogia Agrestis increases testosterone levels in the blood, leading to healthy male performance. Overall, I was impressed, but not completely won over because I could simply take supplements that are individually these ingredients. I had to see how this formula worked to better improve my life.
The first two weeks
My reluctance with supplements or simply medicine in general is the slow results. Elevated’s reviews had people saying it worked in a matter of weeks. This seemed way too fast to be real, so I figured I’d be the judge of that. I didn’t expect a miracle to happen in a matter of weeks, so I set my expectations low. But, boy did Elevated surpass them quickly.
The first thing I liked was I did not need a prescription or a trip to my doctor. Elevated eliminated this step and I received my product in three days. That’s quicker than any doctor visit and I didn’t even have to go to an office. They won points with me because of that.
To make sure I got the best results, I followed the directions on the bottle: take 4 capsules daily with a meal. I decided to take this in the morning because that is when I eat the largest meal. I work out in the mornings, so I felt taking it then would be a true test of its strength.
The first week I didn’t feel much of a difference, but that wasn’t a surprise because it’s not realistic for a supplement to work that fast. However, by the end of week two, the changes were noticeable. My number one problem before was feeling sluggish. Before or after my workouts, I was drained. Even outside of workouts, I didn’t have the energy to play with my kids. After work, I would go straight to lying in bed to rest. The low energy left me with no time for fun. After just two weeks, I felt significantly less sluggish. My energy was up. Also, I felt completely locked in at the gym. I was focused and my motivation was back.
This was a huge improvement, but the ultimate goal was to increase my overall energy in the long run to sustain a happy life for my family and me. So, I decided to give it more time.
End of month one
I’ve been stuck lifting the same weight for years in the gym. I love staying active, but sometimes it can feel repetitive and as if I’m not getting anywhere. Well, Elevated completely changed that for me.
I was consistently taking it for a month. I would take it in the mornings, keep a good diet, maintain my routine, and carry on with my day. At the end of the first month, I hit a new PR on bench press unintentionally. Elevated increased my strength and I was still reaping the benefits of the increased energy. The price was proving how reasonable it really was because yearly I was dropping so much money on pre-workouts, Creatine, and BCAAs. Now, I no longer need them unless I want an additional boost because I have natural energy to get me through my days and workouts. I’m actually saving money while improving performance.
I’ve always been a heavier build. So, I was skeptical that Elevated would help me lean out muscle mass. In the first few weeks, I didn’t notice much change, but by month one I did. I started my journey at 196 and by the end of month one I was at 191. Subtle, but it was a change.
Two months done and completely changed
So, at this point, Elevated had checked a lot of boxes. I gained energy and was spending more time with my kids. I was doing better in the gym and seeing progress for the first time in years.
After being consistent and refilling it after a month, there were noticeable physical changes by month two. That month I went from 191 to 185 and was much leaner. I was happier and felt reinvented even at age 35. However, I really wanted to see if the product did what it was supposed to and increased my testosterone levels.
Blood tests are an easy way to check your hormone levels, which I recommend every man stays on top of. I got one done with my physician and they noticed a 150-point increase in my testosterone levels in two month’s time. And despite my hesitation, I can say I felt this increase. In the times I would have to nap due to low energy, I now spend finding new hobbies, making memories with my kids, and spending quality time with my wife. Elevated was true to its word with increasing energy and that’s all because it raised my testosterone levels naturally and steadily.
Bottom Line
I was a skeptic. And naturally, I am. I’m cognizant of what I put into my body and never want to jeopardize my health for the sake of a few changes. I have a family to think of after all. Elevated was transparent with their ingredients, which made me feel confident in their product. When those ingredients performed how they were supposed to, I was a skeptic turned believer.
I am a better Dad now. I spend more time with my kids, I have more energy to do more activities to create lasting memories. My male performance is strengthened, as well as my gym performance because of this overall energy increase. I am finally seeing muscle gains after struggling for at least two years. In the past several months, I have decreased my body fat percentage by almost 4%! The blood tests show my testosterone, total MS, increased from 384 to 830. My testosterone, free, increased from 28.5 to 83.0. Elevated works efficiently and effectively. At the age of 35, I feel as young as I ever have with the motivation to take on life.
